1st Ever Beverly Hills Dog Park

Super Exclusive Dog Park : BEVERLY HILLS

When you hear BEVERLY HILLS, I think naturally you think of the wealthy, celebrities, exclusivity. The city opened up it’s first official dog park at 344 N. Foothill Rd. What makes it exclusive it that in true Beverly Hills fashion, it is only open to residents and employees of the city. The city had been working for a while on the design (since back in October) due to some heated debate on the hours, risk of dog bites, and what not. The 19,000 SF park finally opened up and is divided up in space for both larger and smaller dogs. Park hours will be 8am to 8pm. It can fit a total of 40 dogs and each human is only allowed 3 dogs each in the park. To ensure that only locals use the park, humans must create an account. To be approved, dogs must be properly licensed. Those who are approved will receive special tags. If you are staying at a Beverly Hills hotel or with a resident, you can apply for a two-week permit. The park will be patrolled by a park ranger for at least the first six months while closed-circuit cameras will monitor the scene to make sure everything is on the up-and-up. Other rules include a ban on dogs under four months of age, a no-treats policy, and failure to follow any or all of these rules can lead to the city revoking your dog’s permit (naturally).
