Downtown LA | Tour

Brimming with new development and full of life, Downtown Los Angeles is becoming one of hottest destinations to live, work, and play in all of Los Angeles. Centrally located with Echo Park to the North, Boyle Heights to the East and USC to the South, Downtown is the city’s largest central business district providing half a million jobs to the LA area.

The revitalization of downtown can be attributed to the passage of the Adaptive Reuse Ordinance of 1999, which allowed old building to be transformed into new housing.  The old warehouses and factories that once colonized the area have given rise to a new wave of loft style apartments that have some of the most impressive views of the Los Angeles skyline. New high rise luxury condominiums are offering residents the perfect “home in the sky” with services and state of the art amenities that rival 5 star hotels. Modern architectural wonders include the $1Billion dollar Metropolis project, the Ritz Carlton residences and the New Wilshire Grand Center, which is the tallest commercial tower West of the Mississippi River. This new generation of urban loft dwellers are discovering that downtown offers some of the most culturally enriching attractions in all of Los Angeles. Home to the architecturally iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall, MOCCA and Broad museum, downtown is making an impressive splash in the arts and design scene.

Its neighboring Arts District is home to galleries, cafes, gastro pubs, craft shops, lofts and creative workspaces that make it one of the most vibrant areas in Los Angeles. Bunker Hill also boasts the impressive entertainment and dining complex LA Live, The Staples Center, and JW Marriot Hotel. Adventurous chefs are turning downtown into a culinary capital with restaurants like Bottega Louie, Perch, Bestia and Otium. The Standard and Ace Hotel are popular dining and nightlife destinations, and Chinatown and Little Tokyo offer residents culinary creations from the Far East. Luminous by day and illuminating at night, downtown LA is becoming one of the most dynamic areas to call home.
