Helping The Devastation From Hurricane Harvey

houston

We at Ivan Estrada Properties are heartbroken by the devastation Hurricane Harvey is causing to Houston with its record-setting floods. It is important in these difficult times to band together and lend assistance in any way possible.

One of the best ways to give assistance from afar is to donate money and supplies to help those who have lost their homes, cars and irreplaceable items.

Those who have donated include corporations and celebrities.  Muskegon has sent 2,000 kayaks to help rescue those still stranded in their homes, Chobani has loaded up trucks of food to bring to displaced people, Bob McNair, who owns the Houston Texans, and the NFL are each donating $1 million to United Way of Greater Houston, and Microsoft, Amazon and Wholefoods are all donating to the Red Cross.

Kevin Hart has rallied his famous friends via Instagram to donate to Texas relief efforts asking celebrities to donate at least $25,000 to his fund.  He challenged JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Chris Rock, Justin Timberlake, Steve Harvey and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson among others to donate.  One friend who has answered Hart’s call is Chris Brown, who has pledged $100,000.

JJ Watt of the Houston Texans set up his own crowdsourcing campaign and has already raised $6,622,845 per the time of this publication.  And Houston Rocket’s second baseman Clint Capela is using his twitter to share as many emergency situations as he can.

If you would like to help you can donate to the efforts here:
