Independence Day 2018

Best Spots to Watch the Fireworks

Independence Day is right around the corner and it’s time to plan where you’ll watch the fireworks from.  Whatever you’re looking for, Los Angeles has plenty of great spots to take in the multitude of fireworks shows that will light up the sky on July 4. These are our 5 top picks”

  1. DTLA’s Grand Park

200 N Grand Ave

DTLA’s free 4th of July party is back.  Starting at 3pm there will be 40+ food trucks, live music and a great view of the fireworks – which begin at 9pm.

  1. Wilshire Grand Tower

900 Wilshire Blvd

LA’s tallest skyscraper is a great place to view fireworks from above. Tip: The lounge on the 70th floor requires no reservations and you’ll be sure to get some incredible sweeping views of the city.

  1. Exposition Park

3980 Menlo Ave

Fireworks will be easily viewable from the South Lawn, in front of the natural history museum.  Bring a blanket and your closest friends for the best time!

  1. Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook

6300 Hetzler Rd

It’s a bit of a hike to get to this spot, but the views are well worth it. From this vantage point, it’s easy to see multiple shows around the city.

  1. Hollywood Forever Cemetary

6000 Santa Monica Blvd.

A July 4 screening of Footloose, part of Cinespia’s long-running outdoor movie series, will also bring a firework display to LA’s cemetery to the stars. Tickets sell out quick though, so make sure to buy them fast!
